Venue
Proud Past • Infinite Future
Fair Hill is the only equine complex in the world with a Thoroughbred training center, a 1-mile irrigated turf course for flat and jump racing, an international five-star (CCI5*) Eventing venue, regulation arenas for show jumping and dressage, 5,000 acres of public riding trails and fields, a state-of-the-art equine therapy center, as well as youth outreach through an on-site nature center and 4-H programs.
Now complete, phase one of the Equestrian Center Transformation Project added a new Ian Stark-designed cross-country course, upgrades to the historic turf track including realignment, resurfacing and new irrigation system, as well as equestrian competition rings within the turf course's in-field. Together, these improvements have created a home for the Maryland Five Star at Fair Hill and many other top class events for years to come.
Planned upgrades will also preserve Fair Hill’s natural resources and its rural and agricultural legacy.
"To me, it’s a rebirth of a site that is already one of the most important venues for equestrian sports in our country."
