Arcadia, Calif. — Two horses who currently train at Fair Hill Training Center will be on Thoroughbred racing’s biggest stage this weekend at the Breeders’ Cup World Championships at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California.  A total of five horses trained by Fair Hill-based trainers were included in last week’s pre-entries.  Official race entries were announced this week with Graham Motion having two horses qualified, Sharing and Mrs. Sippy.

Alms, a 2-year-old filly trained by Fair Hill’s Mike Stidham, went two-for-two this year including a victory in the Grade 3 Matron Stakes on October 5 at Belmont Park.  She was found to have a fever late last week and will be unable to travel to the Breeders’ Cup for the Juvenile Fillies Turf according to Stidham.

2-year-old filly, Sharing (Speightstown – Shared Account, by Pleasantly Perfect) will be running on “Future Stars Friday” in the Juvenile Fillies Turf under jockey, Manuel Franco.  Bred by Sagamore Farm, Sharing is the daughter of 2010 Filly & Mare Turf winner, Shared Account who also trained at Fair Hill under Motion and raced for Sagamore Racing during her career.  Sharing’s sire, Speightstown won the Breeders’ Cup Sprint in 2004.  She is owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and Antony Beck’s Gainesway Stable.

Selima Stakes at Laurel Park: Sharing

Sharing has two wins in three career starts including her most recent score in the Selima Stakes at Laurel Park.  Her career began at Saratoga with a third-place finish on July 21 before breaking her maiden at the track on August 18.  Sharing’s final workout for the Breeders’ Cup took place at Fair Hill on October 25 going six-furlongs in 1:13.20 on the all-weather training track.

Glens Falls Stakes at Saratoga: Mrs. Sippy

Bred and owned by Andrew Stone (who also owned Qushchi), Mrs. Sippy comes into the race after a second-place effort in the Grade 1 Flower Bowl Stakes at Belmont Park on October 6 and a win in the Grade 2 Glens Falls Stakes at Saratoga on August 31.  These were her first two races in North America after competing at tracks in England and France her entire career.

Jockey, Joel Rosario will be in the irons and rode Mrs. Sippy in her last two starts. Mrs. Sippy breezed five-furlongs in 1:02.20 on Fair Hill’s all-weather training track for her final Breeders’ Cup work on October 26.
